Leveraging new standards in ATE software

Test system software developed for a new tester with a CPU per test site is described. Design choices in software platforms that utilized performance features in the hardware and also reduced costs and development time are discussed. Results of the utilization of a real-time operating system in a distributed and networked computing environment are given.
