Inverse mapping using FLS and its application to control

Sang-Moon Ryu, Dong-Jo Park, Seok-Yong Oh · 2002

Many engineering applications need to solve control and optimization problems which depend significantly on obtaining inverse solutions for nonlinear and/or underconstrained systems. But, unlike linear functions, there is no known standard method for solving inverse mapping of nonlinear functions in general. This paper presents a method for solving inverse mapping of a continuous nonlinear function learned by a fuzzy logic system (FLS). And through an application to a nonlinear plant control problem the authors show validation of the proposed method.
