Spectral and spatial image processing for remote sensing

Ray Harris · International Journal of Remote Sensing · 1980

This paper presents an argument that remote sensing image processing should attempt to copy human abilities. The techniques of spectral analysis and texture analysis are reviewed and compared in their abilities to emulate human interpretation. A preference for texture analysis is expressed.
