The O 2 object manager: an overview

is the Object-Oriented Database System being developed at Alta'ir. The 02 Object Manager is the layer of the system concerned with complex object ac- cess and manipulation, transaction management, per- sistence and disk management., and distribution in the server/workstation configuration. This paper describes the main choices made in the design of the Object Man- ager, and presents its overall architecture.
