A query by Singing/Humming System for Dangdut Songs Using Dynamic Time Warping

Query by Humming/Singing (QbSH) is a search system based on humming or singing the song as the basis for the search. This paper discussed the use of DTW (Dynamic Time Warping) as a method of matching melodies. DTW itself has some type and nature of data dependent. Therefore we proposed a simulation to determine the type of DTW that suits to QbSH for dangdut music. There are three types of DTW compared in this paper i.e. Type 1, type 2 and type 3. Performance measurements is based on the parameter of MRR (the Mean Recipocral Rank). Based on the simulation results showed that the DTW type 1 has a better outcome that other types of DTW.
