An intelligent event-driven approach for efficient energy consumption in commercial buildings

In this paper we present a use case related to the intelligent processing of events coming from the conventional ("cheap") sensors in order to support better energy consumption in commercial buildings. The approach has been implemented using our iCEP framework and deployed in the office space of a real working environment. This research is a kind of the proof of the concept for a new technology that the industry partner would like to exploit.
