Hierarchical interpretation of composite human motion using constraints on angular pose of each body part
Juanda Lokman, M. Kaneko · 2005
This work presents a method for interpretation of human motion, particularly concerning with variation of motion for each activity. It analyzes and interprets action of each body part for composite activity in a sequence of poses. By analyzing each of major body parts, it can solve the occlusion problem. The basic idea for this paradigm is summarized as the following three points: (1) human activity does not always employ all the body parts (e.g. only hand(s), leg(s), torso, etc., (2) human can carry out many activities simultaneously, and (3) human only interprets the body parts that can be perceived.
