Data fusion for object classification

Consideration is given to methods for integrating information from sensors with different modalities in order to give more accurate classifications. An examination is made of principled methods for structuring classifier modules and combining them into complete systems. The consequences of using particular mechanisms for the component transformations are analyzed and some illustrations are given.>
