Data retrieval using conceptual fuzzy sets

We describe a method of conceptual matching using conceptual fuzzy sets and ontology. We also describe information retrieval based on the conceptual matching method. It can recall other similar subjects from instances and can deal with context dependent meanings of a word with multiple aspects. We apply the method to image data retrieval which can eliminate human processes such as attaching keywords and image recognition. Adaptation to personal characteristics is also demonstrated in TV program recommendation.
