Results on multi-carrier CDMA receiver design

A.S. Bahai, Gerhard Paul Fettweis · 2002

Spread spectrum techniques require accurate timing and carrier synchronization and usually encounter performance loss under significant Doppler spread conditions. Applying the multi-carrier (MC) technique to spread spectrum systems makes the system more robust against timing offset and Doppler spread. The optimum receiver for multi-carrier systems can be designed using the duality principle in communication systems. Sensitivity to frequency and timing phase offset can be significantly reduced by proper design of MC-CDMA using channel sounding.
