Identification of signal components in the presence of impulsive noise - error analysis
Janusz Sawicki · 2005
A method of signal parameter identification, using estimates of median type, and the corresponding error probabilities are discussed in the contribution. The periodic signal is assumed to be contaminated with impulsive noise and the amplitudes of components are estimated as medians of quotients of signal values and some reference orthogonal functions, according to a well known method. The problem of error probability is considered with respect to the pdf's of the pulse amplitude and of the pulse delay time. Certain probabilities of errors not exceeding a given value are calculated.
