Comparison of speckle reduction techniques applied to airborne SAR imagery

This paper seeks to provide a useful comparison of a wide range of speckle reduction techniques applied to a test scene of airborne SAR data. Conventional frequency domain multilook as well as a range of spatial domain filters is investigated. Attention is given not only to the radiometric resolution (speckle), but also to the geometric resolution through observation of an edge.
