ON THE DECIDABILITY OF THE MEMBERSHIP PROBLEM OF THE PSEUDOVARIETY J∨B

The aim of this article is to prove that the pseudovariety generated by J∪B, that is to say, the join of the pseudovariety of [Formula: see text]-trivial semigroups and of the pseudovariety of idempotents semigroups, is decidable. The techniques used were developed by Almeida and are based on the study of the topological semigroup of implicit operations.
