A new sum of products implementation for digital signal processing

A new implementation of sum of products using the left-sided multiplication is proposed. An analysis of its roundoff error is presented. It is found that this implementation of the sum of products is more economical and exhibits a smaller roundoff error than the conventional sum of rounded products approach.
