SIMULATION STUDY OF PIM DM AND PIM SM PROTOCOLS

Due to the development of new services multicast transmission is getting more and more important not only in scientific community but also in industrial deployments. As a result, not only multicast algorithms but also protocols are a hot research topic. The paper presents simulation study of two well known multicast protocols: PIM DM and PIM SM comparing them and discussing their advantages and disadvantages.
