Organizational Agent Systems for Intelligent Enterprise Modelling
D.J. Wu, Yanjun Sun, Fang Zhong · Electronic Markets · 2000
This paper introduces some organizational agent systems that might be used as building blocks for intelligent and scalable enterprise systems. The roles of individual agent systems encompass designing production lines, pricing/operating distribution networks, managing the supply chain, contracting/buying and selling goods in an electronic marketplace. We first briefly describe each of these agent systems, then we discuss how to integrate them and address associated socio-technical problems, and finally we indicate benefits of such hybrid systems.
