BMO-Boundedness of Maximal Operators andg-Functions Associated with Laguerre Expansions

Let {ϕ α n } n∈N be the Laguerre functions of Hermite type with index α.These are eigenfunctions of the Laguerre differential operator L α 1/2 -d 2 /dy 2 y 2 1/y 2 α 2 -1/4 .In this paper, we investigate the boundedness of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function, the heat maximal function, and the Littlewood-Paley g-function associated with L α in the localized BMO space BMO Lα , which is the dual space of the Hardy space H 1 Lα .
