The establishment and application of a bio-paleogeographic information system

This paper designed and established a full-featured bio-paleogeography information system of paleontology, and input the existing fossils' data of the Late Triassic bivalve in Tibetan area. An analysis module based on ArcGIS Engine was developed, which tried to use the ecological attributes of paleontology as a new method of quantitative analysis to reconstruct paleogeography.
