DETECTING CAVITIES IN A SYSTEM OF OVERLAPPING SPHERES USING ENVELOPING TRIANGULATION

Abstract. The existence of cavities should be taken into account when solving different problems connected to the molecular properties. In the presented paper some special triangulation enclosing possible cavities points of a system of overlapping spheres is considered. An algorithm of the con-struction of such triangulation is discussed. It can be used for detecting the internal cavities and their positions.
