The users' need to quickly assemble information, online services and applications is stimulating the development of paradigms that are able to integrate data, functionality and user interfaces from the Web. In this context, data, services, applications, and knowledge can be viewed as entities of a Digital Ecosystem, defined as a virtual environment that supports the mash-up, knowledge sharing and management among the multiple and independent entities, which are part of this environment. This is particularly important with respect to the creativeness and innovation at social and economic level.
