A novel neural network for problem solving

A neural-network-based minimum energy principle for solving a class of tasks with exponential time complexity is proposed. In particular, the authors use the neural network to solve the N-queen problem to demonstrate its capability in handing complex tasks. The complexity of the proposed algorithm for the N-queen problem is O(N/sup 3/), where N is the number of queens. N-queen was solved for 4>
