Realtime programming language PEARL - Concept and characteristics
T. Mirtin · 2005
The design goals, the history of development, and the present status of PEARL implementations are summarized. About ten implementations are on the market. They are all based on an official language definition for which a DIN Draft Standard exists. The basic concept and a general characterization is presented by means of a simple automatic control example. More details are given with reference to the Appendix in which features are enumerated with examples. PEARL has been well accepted by the (mainly) industrial users. Almost 140 applications Prograramed with PEARL are either in operation or being installed.
