Real time implimentation of 16kbs APC with Hybrid Quantization

Our task was to produce a real time, portable system to demonstrate a high quality voice coding algorithm. This paper describes the problems in converting a FORTRAN algorithm into real time software. We show how our hardware system and strategy of implementation together solve these problems and give some results of the implementation.
