Slow power control in a CDMA network
Stephen Vaughan Hanly, Keith C. C. Chan · 2005
We suggest a quasi-static power control algorithm, that provides constant received power levels at cell sites on the fast time-scale of fading and burstiness, but adapts these levels slowly as a function of measured statistics. This algorithm is suitable for packet spread spectrum wireless networks, in which packets are sent in bursts, and it is not feasible to adapt received power levels to measured realizations of interference.
