The advent of digital media and availability of modem rechnology/conremporary techniques has not only helped the content creators bur also raised serious securiry concerns about acts ' of illicit copying and manipulations, breaching rightful ownership, due to possibility of exact replication of multimedia contents and ,their swifi distribution through open networks. Modem digital watermarking techniques provide a marvelous way to get out of this vicious circle. In this paper a novel, scaleable and improved transform domain blind .digital watermarking technique have been proposed that can be utilized for multipurpose multimedia applications. The system designed for generating highly random watermarks ensure imperceptibility and unauthorized detection difficult. Furthermore considerations of psycho-visual and domain specific redundo. ncies improve the data payload and prove robustness claims against various attacks, as presented.
