Enhanced SEA-MAC: An efficient MAC protocol for wireless sensor networks for environmental monitoring applications

Wireless sensor networks is an evolving technology depending on the application where they are deploy in. These applications include environment monitoring, health structural systems, industrial control systems and security applications. This paper proposes an enhancement over SEA-MAC protocol in terms of energy consumption and delay guarantee issues. The results and experiment environment were built using the Network Simulator 2 (NS2).
