Overview of tag switching

Networks are evolving to combine network layer routing and link layer switching to provide advanced services at high speeds. Tag switching is a new technology for tightly integrating routing and switching in a flexible manner. This paper presents an overview of tag switching technology and how it can be employed in enterprise and service provider networks.
