Pulp&Paper Consistency Control System Based on Expert Control Algorithm

Pulp consistency directly influences paper base weight, while in the pulp consistency control loop, pulp consistency easily deviates from set-point and fluctuates with great magnitude because of the influences of uncertain coupling disturbances such as pulp pump frequency, valve opening and sensor faults. Combined with typical PID algorithm, a novel pulp consistency control concept or control algorithm—expert control, is proposed here to solve the coupling disturbances of the pulp consistency control loop so as to optimize the system performance index.
