Opportunities for increased use of standards in the integration of Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems

This paper discusses the integration of perimeter intrusion detect systems (PIDS), the various elements of an overall PIDS field network, and different models of integration. An example is provided of an integrated field network. The prospects for the increased use of standards in PIDS integration are reviewed.
