Underwater detection of transient magnetic signals: an application of wavelet packets

This work deals with the detection and the rebuilding of a signal produced by a moving ferromagnetic mass in the Earth's magnetic field. To de-noise the signal we use wavelet packets decomposition and we implement some methods to threshold and shrink the coefficients obtained.
