Outage Analysis and Optimization for Discrete Randomized Distributed Space-Time Block Coding
Lu Zhang, Leonard J. Cimini · 2007
Distributed space-time block coding (Dis-STBC) achieves diversity through cooperative transmission among geographically dispersed nodes. In this paper, we provide a closed- form expression for the outage probability of discrete randomized Dis-STBC for any given number of selected relays. Further, some rules for optimizing discrete randomized Dis-STBC are presented. Simulation results show that, the optimized discrete randomized schemes can achieve almost the same end-to-end outage performance as the continuous randomized scheme, as long as the number of potential relays is much larger than the number of columns in the underlying STBC matrix.
