Parametric equations in control survey adjustment

In recent years, most organizations have changed from the classical Correlate Method of Least Squares for the adjustment of control surveys to the Parametric Method. The availability of electronic computers and the feasibility of generalized programmes for the Parametric Method has caused this change. These programmes take the raw observations and give the adjusted co-ordinates in a single data pass without intervention from the operator and thus have much to recommend them.
