Incremental optimal control of min-plus linear systems

Ricardo Lüders, Rafael Santos Mendes · 2001

A timed event graph (TEG) is modeled by linear equations in min-plus algebra. In this framework, the optimal control problem statement is: given a desired timed sequence of output events, find a timed sequence of input events, minimum in terms of number of events and such that the sequence of system output events should not be less than the desired sequence. This problem is solved by residuation theory using future reference data in a finite horizon. This paper proposes a different implementation of optimal control using a smaller time interval in a receding horizon.
