On the factorization, observability, and identification of the agreement protocol

In this note, we examine network factorization in the context of observability and system identification problems embedded in the agreement protocol. Our observations in this venue further strengthen the intrinsic properties of the agreement protocol in relation to the structural features and decomposability of the underlying network.
