The pitch of the human voice plays a key role in determining the uniqueness of one's voice and any abnormality in the pitch may result in a voice disorder. This can be found by analyzing the fundamental frequency of the voice F0, which is the subjective pitch of the voice and hence it plays a major role in Clinical Voice Research. This study examines five fundamental frequency estimation algorithms using sustained vowel phonations recorded. The statistical parameters namely the mean and standard deviation F0 are evaluated and the results depict the robustness of the algorithms in determining the near accuracy in F0 estimation.
