Comment on 'singular matrix representations of point groups'

R Subramanian · Journal of Physics C Solid State Physics · 1973

The singular matrix representations of point groups recently discussed by Killingbeck (1972) are special cases of a wider class of representations discussed previously in the literature. It is pointed out that a singular representation can always be reduced by a similarity transformation to the direct sum of a nonsingular representation and a 'null representation'.
