A Supersymmetric Electroweak Model with a Light Squark

We investigate the squark and slepton masses in the minimal electroweak model coupled to N=1 supergravity. A numerical analysis shows that the minimal supergravity model can consistently accommodate a relatively light (≲30 GeV) squark: ̃t- for the three-family case, or ̃b′- for the four-family case. Phenomenologically such a light squark is consistent with the present e+e- experiments if the photino mass is smaller than but comparable to the light squark mass. Possible searches of such a light squark are disussed.
