A Review of Statistical Software for the Apple Macintosh

Seven general-purpose statistical computing packages for the Apple Macintosh computer are reviewed. Data Desk, JMP, Minitab, Statistica/Mac, Statview (with SuperANOVA), and SYSTAT. MacAnova is discussed in the Appendix. Because the packages are often different in their target audiences and approaches, they are reviewed separately but using the same outline. A feature table and a general discussion with recommendations follow the individual reviews.
