Formal Security Proof for Generalized Signcryption

Generalized signcryption which proposed by Han is a new cryptographic primitive which can work as an encryption scheme, a signature scheme or a signcryption scheme. How- ever,the security proof in their paper is uncorrect. In this paper, we give security notions for this new primitive. And we give an attack to [9] and propose an improved generalized signcryption scheme. Furthermore, we give formal security proofs for this new scheme.
