Detection of vapor emitting source
Qi Cheng, Yingbo Hua · 2002
We present two new methods for (binary) detection of vapor emitting source using an array of surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensors. The first method is an application of the maximum a posteriori (MAP) principle. The second method exploits the simple concept of signal power thresholding (SPT). We show that the SPT method is much more efficient in computation and much more accurate in detection than the MAP method as well as the modified generalized likelihood ratio (MGLR) methods by Nehorai et al. (see Transactions on Signal Processing, v.43, no.1, p.243-53, 1995).
