Research on CAINONET performance real-time monitoring and evaluation system

The capability of detecting and optimizing the performance of the whole network only through a Web browser anywhere and anytime is the goal of modern network management. This paper is based on the project of CAINONET's performance real-time monitoring and evaluation system (CPMES). We discuss CPMES's architecture, working policy, key technology and future work. Our system is an ideal distributed platform with attractive features such as tight administrative control; strong authentication and security; simple configuration; and minimal measurement and control traffic. CAINONET is the China advanced info-optical network.
