Jammer nulling via low complexity blind beamforming algorithm
Garret T. Okamoto · 2007
In this paper, other SBB requirements are summarized here, with the actual SBB performance noted. SBB was required to overcome jammer power 20 dB above the user, and SBB has shown in simulation it can null two 20 dB J/S (jammer-to-signal) jammers and even a jammer with 40 dB J/S. SBB must be modulation-independent to allow for future flexibility in the waveform, and SBB supports virtually any modulation, bandwidth, and MIMO configuration or mode. SBB must be robust even when the jammer has the same direction of arrival (DOA) or is in close proximity with the user, and SBB achieved excellent results (when at least one multipath was present) in a wide range of cases where the user and jammer were purposely put in close proximity and/or the same DOA.
