A compact mixed-mode VLSI block fuzzifier

An efficient mixed-mode VLSI fuzzifier that fuzzifies an analog input signal for all possible membership functions within its universe of discourse is presented. Using a binary code it signifies which membership function is active and provides the corresponding degree of association at the output.
