Beyond NEXUS: Universal Cladistic Data Objects

The subject of data management in cladistics is discussed. Proprietary, nonrelational data “formats” are no solution to the problems of data storage and transfer among programs; rather, commercially available standards for query language should be implemented in a system of data objects.
