A video scan converter development with high resolution

Based on Focus 400 ASIC truescale image processing chip, a PC to TV scan converter with high resolution is developed in the paper. The video format conversion principle and the function struture of FS400 chip are discussed. The video convertor systemic design of hardware and software structure is proposed, and its function and operation process is given. Applying the proposed convertor in a video system, the test results show that its every function is correct, and its oupt image is in high quality, so it is adapted to family cinema and video broadcast application.
