A new WDP co-decoding scheme based on TCQ and opportunistic PPM

Costa¿s writing on dirty paper model is a power-limited system interfered by two independent noises, of which one is non-causally known by the transmitter. Considering the bandwidth of the channel is unlimited, we propose a new WDP co-decoding scheme based on trellis coded quantization and opportunistic pulse position modulation in which every pulse is sent when the transmitter-known noise reaches to zenith in corresponding symbol period. Because the scheme utilizes the known noise to reduce the average transmitted power of signal and counteract the channel noise, a simple peak value detector can be used in receiving signal effectively. The simulated results indicate that the system can communicate reliably in low signal-to-noise power ratio.
