Effect of Filtering Newcastle Disease Drinking Water Vaccine (BI Strain)

SUMMARY Newcastle disease drinking water vaccine (bi strain) was filtered through 3 kinds of filters: Seitz filtera (EK grade), sintered glass filterb (porosity I), and ordinary filter paper.c The Seitz filter removed the hemagglutinative activity of the vaccine and markedly reduced the viral content and the protective portion of the vaccine. Sintered glass and ordinary filter paper did not adversely affect the vaccine.
