A sequential algorithm for blind equalization
E. Zervas, John G. Proakis · 2003
A sequential blind search algorithm for the identification of unknown linear channels is proposed. The algorithm is a modification of the Fano algorithm and it requires knowledge of the variance of the additive noise. Based on this knowledge the algorithm builds screening tests to eliminate sequences which result in large estimation errors. Simulation examples demonstrate that lengths of 50-100 samples are enough to identify channels when binary pulse-amplitude modulation (PAM-2) transmission is used.>
