The okjective of this paper is to evaluate the performance of adaptive algorithms for suppressing multiple access interference (MAI) both in mobile indoor and cellular telephony channels employing code division multiple nccess (CDMA) technique. For the indoor channel, the CDMA system under consideration assumed to have 10 users each being mobile with a velocity of IO mis and one stationary base transmitter. The cellular teleph- ony CDMA is also assumed to have IO users undergoing multi- path propagation modeled by Rummler channel. Each user is assigned a Gold code signature sequence of length 63. The adaptive algorithms employed are the least mean square (LMS) and normalized least mean square (NLMS). An analytical tech- nique is also developed for the bit error rate evaluation
