Productivity and Stability with Application Service Software

This position paper summarizes an application service provider (ASP) development project, and identifies points that enhanced software stability and programmer productivity. ASP architecture, methodology, requirements, maintenance costs, prototyping, automated design and object oriented languages are described to argue our position points. Taken together, the points suggest how to reduce software sources of error by up to 89%, how to double programmer productivity, and how to minimize maintenance costs.
